FUTURE CONFERENCES

Twice a year, delegates from CMN Member Churches and organisations gather together to share the latest news and information as well as explore important issues and themes in ministry amongst children as we continually seek ways to support each other in this vital area of work.

During these conferences, CMN Business Meetings give room for more formal discussions and decisions about ways forward. Members of the CMN Executive, elected by the CMN Business Meeting, also meet to discuss matters of strategy and logistics.

Our upcoming conferences will take place as follows:

Theme: A Conversation – Innovative and Transformational Learning

Many of us are responsible for the development of resources and training for those involved in Children’ Ministry or for children themselves. This Conference will explore what Innovative and Transformational Learning mean for us in our ministry and work.

Questions from this for us in our work and Ministry and the development of Core Skills

      ·         Is what we are doing or providing fit for purpose ?

      ·         Are the resources and training we provide relevant and pushing boundaries ?

      ·         How do we provide resourcing that meets the learning needs of children now and going forward

    • Homework videos How adults can learn from kidsKen Robinson changing education paradigmsMysterious working of the adolescent brain, and Teaching my sister to swim
    • We are in a time when children have access to vast amounts of information at the touch of their fingertips – learning about the world and life through YouTube, Console Games, Google – and living their lives in images as well as face to face contact with friends, family and at school. What impact is this having on their brain development and how they process and access learning? How are we being innovative and transformational in the resources and training that we are providing to churches?

Please contact Aled Davies, our Treasurer, for booking information.
